Lucien Nicolet, known as Luciano, is a DJ and producer of Swiss and Chilean origin, born on 24 February 1978 in Montcherand (Switzerland). Growing up between Europe and Chile, he started his career in the early 1990s playing in rock clubs in Santiago, then in Geneva and finally in Ibiza, where he defined a unique style fusing minimal techno, house and Latin rhythms.
Founder of the Cadenza Records label in 2002, Luciano has been instrumental in spreading the Latin electronic scene in Europe. Characterised by his deep, hypnotic and intensely emotional sets, he is famous for his nights at DC10 in Ibiza (circoco) and for his Vagabundos and Æther Live formats, which combine music, visual art and human interaction.
Over the course of his career, he has won numerous awards (including several Ibiza DJ Awards and Best Tech House DJ) and released albums that are milestones of the minimal and house style, such as Blind Behaviour (2004), No Model No Tool (2007) and Tribute To The Sun (2009). He has also featured in such landmark moments as the Magik Garden parties in Chile and sets at the Coachella festival.
