Isabella Dogroll - known as Matisa - is an Italian DJ and producer, originally from Rome and now based mainly in Milan and Florence. Having grown up musically between piano, organ and oboe from a very young age, she basically abandoned her classical career to devote herself to clubbing culture, which she discovered by chance during her university days in Perugia. A friend entrusted her with a set of cymbals and mixers, and that moment was the trigger for a passion that soon became a vocation.
With a sound that fuses emotional house, disco, nu-disco and experimental electronica, Matisa has released successful EPs such as Organza/Honey Comb (Optimo Music, 2019), Tongue on Gudu Records (2023) and Incantesimo (Permanent Vacation, 2024). His music aims to create an immersive experience: his sets - often played on vinyl - are deep vibes enlivened by grooves, melodies and emotional percussion.
In addition to clubs and music production, Matisa has also woven the world of fashion into her career: she has a master's degree from Polimoda and aligned creativity and visual and sound style. She has played in prestigious contexts such as DC10, Panorama Bar, Red Light Radio and queer projects such as 'The Naked Dance'.
In 2025 he released his debut album In My Head (Slacker 85), a project that reflects his eclectic path and his articulate vision of the night, the city, and music. With a personal methodology of constant study and sonic precision, Matisa is today one of the most interesting figures on the European house scene, capable of harmonising technique, emotion and performance experience.
